Chocolate is the beautiful and captivating comedy from the acclaimed director of the Cider House Rules! Nobody could have imagined the impact that the striking Vianne(Binoche) would make when she arrived in a tranquil, old-fashioned French town. In her very unusual chocolate shop, Vianne begins to create mouth-watering confections that almost magically inspire the strailaced villagers to abandon themselves to temptation and happiness! But it is not until another stranger, the handsome Roux arrives in town that Vianne is finally able to recognize her own desires!

4Chocolate Worth Consuming (No Risk of Diabetes Here)
    By Melissa N.
Chocolat is a richly, crafted movie for the chocolate lover in all (or some) of us. It's also the story of a woman (Vianne) who is new to a small town and marches to the beat of her own drums, and uses the chocolate she sells in her shop as a vehicle to open up and, eventually, thaw out the hearts and minds of the townspeople. I enjoyed the movie from start to finish.

5This is a great show with a bit of romance
    By Vikki Walton
This is a great show with a bit of romance, a bit of comedy, a bit about friendship and family as well as prejudice. The mayor's actions seem out of place with the story as it veers off into really campy--almost stupid--territory. Just consider that part like biting into a chocolate you don't particularly like. The rest of the box is worth it.

4Interesting, enjoyable, and a bit slow in places
    By Liz W
We enjoyed this, although agreed that it moved a little slowly in places. I found myself thinking about parts of it for days after watching it. Selected it because it was categorized "Comedy," but it was not especially funny.
