I HAPPENED UPON IT ONE DAY ON TCM. ITS A PITY THAT SOMANY MEN & WOMEN SACARFICED SO MUCH TO GIVE US ALL A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE. NOW LOOK WHAT WEVE GOT!! A BAD DREAM!! & NO ITS NOT GOING TO GET ANY BETTER. THE CURRENT POLOTICAL CLASS SEEMS TO THINK (FROM BOTTOM TO TOP) THEY SHOULD BE TREATED AS ROYLTY!! THEY SERVED THIER COUNTRY FOR 20 YRS.!! 5This event should never be lost.
    By Russell S
A part of history that needs to be remembered. So many died and so many tried. 1942 in the Philippines and enemy forces took control of the island nation. This is the story of the liberation of that nation by the native population working in concert with American forces to get the Japanese off this nation. Terrific performances by all involved IE John Wayne and Anthony Quinn and Beulah Bondi. Get it for the history of it and also the greatness of the film.
