I have always been fascinated by the things we as humans create in order to destroy each other. This movie shows the evolution of nuclear weapons all the way from Trinity up to the Czar bomb. It's fascinating and at the same time terrifying as to the extent we went during the 50's and 60's to create weapons so powerful that they threatened human civilization itself. This movie only covers the most notable achievements in nuclear weapons development. It is a glimpse into the people that worked on these devices and shows the lengths each side went to in order to develop more and more powerful weapons. If you like to learn about nuclear weapons development during the hay-day of testing I recommend this film.

It's what i wanted.
Good documentary, although it's 90+ percent about U.S. nuclear programs up to about 1963, and there are 8 - possibly 9 - other members of the nuclear weapons club. The extra footage and features alone justify the purchase price, above and beyond what you might get watching this on the interwebs. Btw - I purchased the DVD from Amazon Warehouse, and the discs were rattling around in the case. Despite the resulting scratches, both discs played without any problem.

This is a part of history we shouldn't forget. The main reason I bought this was my son was talking about nuclear bombs and was curious as to what they were about. I knew of this movie because I had seen it a long time ago. It does a good job of showing this piece of history and the footage of the blasts are awe inspiring, one thing the know how big the blasts are but to see them wow. I believe anyone interested in the nuclear bomb testing of that time or want to know just what these things really are should see this.
