One of The Best Concerts of All Time!
By Johnny Photo
I would have given this 10 stars, but you can only give five. This concert is pure magic. Perfect harmonies. Wonderful songs and memories. I'm a professional drummer, and grew up hearing their songs. I was an average fan then, definitely respecting and enjoying their catchy songs. After hearing how amazing they performed at this concert, I'm literally moved to tears. Their voices are flawless, and the innocent beauty of their harmonies and lyrics are wonderful to hear, while also being heartbreaking when one compares much of what rock has turned into. Much rock today is about volume, mean attitude, and bizarre appearance. This concert is like a breath of fresh air. Pure, beautiful, timeless, and performed by two very humble, appreciative singers, whose singing together has been refined over a lifetime. The extra footage about their history is worth the price alone. Buy this one. It's a true piece of Americana, and SO enjoyable. The crowd was immensely moved with each song. So was I.

Rock 'n' Roll Roots
The Everly Brothers and I shared space in the sixties at Freedomland, Bronx, NY. My parents took me from Long Island to see them. I was already a fan as a young teenager; our home was filled with their sound. The show was fantastic, and it didn't take much arm-twisting to convince my folks to stay for the second show. Indelible memories. A girl standing next to me in the crowd heard my concern that I had no camera. She had been backstage and had taken pictures. She offered to send copies to me; we exchanged names and addresses. She was from Rye, NY, I recall... hey there, thanks! I was crushed when the Brothers parted ways, always hoping that they'd reunite for their own sakes. The reunion concert on DVD, along with the Odyssey, is incredible. It stops and preserves time. Thing is, the music holds up well... it all could have been recorded yesterday. I'm indebted to the Brothers for the countless hours of enjoyment they've afforded me. But this. It is mesmerizing. Thank you so much, Don and Phil.

Creme brulee for the ears!
By Mountain Mama
No one could sing harmony like the Everly Brothers. And no one had such unique material - thanks in part to the Bryants who wrote so many hits specifically for these guys. This concert at the Royal Albert Hall captures the brothers after their famous breakup, at a time when they clearly enjoyed getting together again to sing their old hits. Their voices had matured, and sounded better than ever. The guitar work of a young Albert Lee in the fantastic back-up band is worth the price of the dvd. The rollicking rock & roll pieces like "Bird Dog" and "Bebop a Lula" will make you smile, and the sweet, rich harmonies of "Dream" and "Devoted to You" are like creme brulee for the ears.
We watch this over and over.
