    5Great workout class with Raquel & friends

    I first owned this tape back in the late '80s when it came out, and did lose some weight while following it. Now menopausal & needing to lose a few lbs., I re-purchased the tape and have been doing its workout a little while, and have shed 5 lbs. so far. What's good about the workout is it's in 2 sections, Lower Body and Upper Body, so you can alternate both or choose the one you want to focus on. She has a personal trainer next to her, and four classmates behind her doing variations, most easier than her own and with no extra equipment. In between exercises, the "aerobic" part is just running in place or up/down steps, or stationary bicycling which is my choice. You could purchase weights and a bench to do some of the arm & chest work, but her classmates do the exercises without them, so it's up to you. The exercises are low impact but effective, and some of the stretches are gentle yoga variations but nothing extreme. The original video included a diet chart done by Raquel's nutritionist, though it's missing from most used tapes I finally found a copy, and these are the basic tenets:

    Beverage choices: water, coffee, tea, fruit juice, skim milk, wine 1x week
    Breakfast choices: oatmeal or dry cereal, or soft boiled eggs & toast, or nonfat yogurt, any with a grapefruit or grapefruit juice
    Lunch choices: 1/4 lb. grilled, broiled or roasted meat, poultry or fish, steamed vegetables, one fruit
    Dinner choices: 1/2 lb. grilled, broiled or roasted meat, poultry or fish, steamed vegetables or salad, one fruit
    Snack choices: rice cakes, nonfat yogurt, oatmeal cookies, sugar-free rice pudding, fruit

    5Best workout video ever!!!

    I've used many workout videos and dvd's. This is the best by far. I have had three copies over the past ten years and used my first until it no longer worked. Since then I've tried to find on DVD format. Looking for a fourth copy.

    Best exercise video ever. I see a difference in 3 days. Had the same video for several years and it got wore out. Love this one.
