Characterization is excellent. Just enough interpersonal relationships
Having briefly worked in the news business several times, Aaron Sorkin captured the accuracy of pre news drama, whether radio, TV or the print media. Characterization is excellent. Just enough interpersonal relationships, without the soap opera the primary story. Look deeper, especially Season 3, Episode 3 at 46:04 #Barrack Obama’s White House Press Correspondence Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton when then young president Obama states, “I look in the mirror and I have to admit I’m not the strapping young Muslim socialist I used to be...” much more to this series than the great entertainment it brought so many viewers. This viewer will seek out more Sorkin productions.

If you've seen the first two seasons the third will NOT disappoint. I was saddened this was the series finale
This is the smartest television I have seen in so long. Jeff Daniels is mesmerizing in this role. I found myself just waiting for where he would weigh in on the real-time stories and life in general. Season three was short but didn't miss a beat. If you've seen the first two seasons the third will NOT disappoint. I was saddened this was the series finale. I really would have enjoyed this series for a long haul! Kudos to all the actors and writers...really brilliant.

Just like I wanted Jeb Bartlett
By Lena McCafferty
Just like I wanted Jeb Bartlett, CJ Craig, Sam Seaborn and all the rest of the West Wing cast to be real people, I am in love with the people of ACN! Aaron Sorkin is a voice desperately needed. The Newsroom is, hands down, the best thing I have ever seen. Cannot wait to see what Sorkin has in store for us next.
